Funny. But I know why. IRL Women play RPGs, and MMOs, many play female characters, because who doesn't like a Barbie doll in 3D. Meanwhile men like to look at the read quarter of Female characters.
At the same time there are exceptions, some women myself included, play male characters to avoid the sleazy stalker types. I played a Gnome male Warlock for years in WOW because of this. Only recently have I been using female avatars there because well The pop moved to the Horde, so it's safer now to play female there.
Here my Warrior will be female, making her look like me as much as possible, while my Assassin is going to be male based on Elric of Melniboné.
